Lucy English AI is an AI English speaking coach. This Privacy Policy explains how Lucy English AI collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the app, related websites, and connected services.

Information We Collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including email address, sign-in information, support requests, and app preferences.

Because Lucy is voice-based, we may process voice recordings, audio metadata, transcripts, AI feedback, pronunciation notes, and speaking session history that you choose to create in the app.

We may also collect device, app, diagnostic, and usage information needed to operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.

How We Use Information

• Provide speaking practice, transcription, AI feedback, and assistant audio replies.
• Save practice history and progress.
• Authenticate accounts and support account deletion.
• Process subscription status and restore purchases where applicable.
• Respond to support requests and improve service reliability.
• Detect misuse, fraud, security issues, and technical failures.

AI and Service Providers

Lucy may use third-party infrastructure and AI providers to process audio, transcripts, prompts, and responses needed to deliver speaking practice features. We do not put server-side API keys inside the mobile app.

Subscriptions and Payments

If Lucy offers paid features, Apple may process payments through the App Store. We do not receive full payment card details from Apple. We may receive subscription status, product identifiers, transaction identifiers, renewal status, and expiration information needed to manage app access.

Retention

• Voice recordings: typically retained for up to 30 days unless needed for security, support, or legal reasons.
• Transcripts and speaking history: retained while the account or local guest history remains active, unless deletion is requested.
• Diagnostics and crash logs: typically retained for up to 90 days.
• Support records: typically retained for up to 180 days.

Account Deletion

If you create an account, you can initiate account deletion from inside the app. Deleting the Lucy account removes app account access and clears active sessions. If you have an Apple subscription, Apple billing must still be managed separately through Apple subscriptions.

Your Choices

You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or support related to your account information, subject to applicable law and security verification.

Children

Lucy is not designed for children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will show the current Last Updated date.
